Unpublish Article for Joomla

Unpublishes a Joomla article from a flow. Use it for takedowns, expired campaigns, or moderation without a custom content plugin.

Overview

Unpublishes a Joomla article from a flow. Use it for takedowns, expired campaigns, or moderation without a custom content plugin.

When the flow reaches this step, JOrchestrator executes Unpublish Article against your linked site or an external integration, using the field values you set on General and Design. Downstream steps can read the output payload fields defined for this node.

Why use this node

Unpublish Article is a action step in the Articles group. Action steps run in the middle or end of a flow. They perform work on your CMS, call external services, or transform data for the next step.

Typical reasons teams add Unpublish Article to a flow:

  • Take an article offline when a schedule or webhook says it expired
  • Unpublish after a moderation or legal review branch
  • Keep unpublish policy on the canvas instead of a one-off plugin

Example workflows

Common patterns on the canvas:

  1. Trigger or Webhook → upstream steps → Unpublish Article → Send Email or CMS update
  2. Scheduled trigger → Unpublish Article → Debug (while testing) → production action
